What Nutritional Label Maker does

Nutritional Label Maker is for small food brands, makers and packaging designers. Enter nutrition values, build them from a recipe with USDA FoodData Central ingredient data, or copy them from a label you already have, then choose where the product will be sold: the United States, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the European Union, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.

For each market it applies that market's serving basis, rounding, daily values or reference intakes, nutrient order and label formats, writes the ingredient list and allergen text, and shows a readiness status that lists exactly what is still missing instead of filling gaps with zeros. For Canada it also checks the front-of-package "High in" symbol.

Labels are calculated and drawn in your browser and download as exact-size PDF, SVG or PNG. Every rule set is in beta: built from the published rules and tested against worked examples, not reviewed or approved by any regulator.

  • Six markets from one product

US Nutrition Facts, UK and EU nutrition declarations, bilingual Canadian Nutrition Facts and Australian / New Zealand nutrition information panels from the same values.

  • Recipes with USDA data

Build values from weighed ingredients using USDA FoodData Central and the finished batch weight, with missing nutrients shown, never guessed.

  • Rounding and formats per market

Each market's rounding rules, daily values or reference intakes, nutrient order and label formats, including small-package versions where the rules allow them.

  • Ingredients and allergens

Ingredient lists and allergen statements written the way each market expects: US major allergens, Canadian priority allergens, the UK/EU 14 and Australia/NZ plain English allergen labelling.

  • Readiness check

Each market shows Needs values, Needs review or Ready, with click-to-fix for every issue. It never fills a missing value with zero.

  • Exact-size print files

Vector PDF and SVG and PNG at the label's real size, plus free blank templates for every market.

How it works

Three steps, in your browser. No install and no sign-up to start.

  1. Step 1: Add your product

Enter nutrition values, build them from a recipe, or copy a label you already have.

  2. Step 2: Choose your markets

Pick where it will be sold. Each market shows its own label and what is still missing.

  3. Step 3: Download the label

Download exact-size PDF, SVG or PNG files. A free account is needed for the first download.

Who it is for

  • Small food and drink brands launching a product or entering a new country
  • Bakers, makers and farmers' market sellers moving into retail
  • Packaging designers who need an accurate nutrition panel at the right size
  • Food businesses that sell the same product in several countries

A good fit when…

  • Someone needs a nutrition label for the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia or New Zealand and wants it at the exact print size.
  • Someone has a recipe but no lab analysis and wants values from USDA FoodData Central ingredient data.
  • Someone sells one product in several countries and needs each market's label from the same numbers.
  • Someone wants to see which values or details a market still needs before printing.

How it compares

Single-country nutrition label generators
One product gives you the label for each of six markets, with each market's own rounding, formats, languages and readiness check.
Filling in a blank template by hand
Rounding, daily values and nutrient order are applied for you, and missing values are flagged rather than left blank or set to zero.
Paid labeling software or a consultant
Free during launch and runs in the browser. For special products or a formal review, a regional food labeling specialist is still the right call.

What it does not do

  • It is not a regulator. No label it makes is reviewed or approved by the FDA, CFIA, FSA, FSANZ, MPI or anyone else, and every rule set is in beta.
  • It does not test food or replace lab analysis, and it does not approve nutrition, health, free-from or may-contain claims.
  • It does not support dietary supplements, infant foods, medical foods, alcohol, or USDA-FSIS meat and poultry labels.
  • It does not make Nutri-Score or Health Star Rating graphics, and it does not print or ship labels.

Pricing

Free during launch: all six markets, every start mode and every download, with no watermark and no card. A free account is needed to download. A Starter plan ($10/month) for people who label products regularly is planned for later and cannot be bought today.

Privacy

Labels are calculated and drawn in your browser. Drafts stay in your browser until you save them to a free account (at your first download). Analytics and logs never contain product names, values, recipes, ingredients or allergens.

The United States, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the European Union (in the language of the member state), Canada (bilingual) and Australia and New Zealand.
Are the labels approved by the FDA or other regulators?
